Ateroskleroz yurak-qon tomir tizimi kasalliklari ichida eng keng tarqalgan va global sog‘liqni saqlash muammolaridan biri hisoblanadi. Ushbu kasallikning rivojlanishida genetik omillar bilan bir qatorda turmush tarzi, ayniqsa ovqatlanish xususiyatlari muhim rol o‘ynaydi. So‘nggi yillarda turli yosh guruhlarida noto‘g‘ri ovqatlanish odatlari, yuqori kaloriyali va lipidlarga boy mahsulotlar iste’molining ortishi ateroskleroz rivojlanish xavfini sezilarli darajada oshirayotganligi aniqlangan. Ushbu maqolada turli yosh guruhlaridagi insonlarning ovqatlanish xususiyatlari va ularning ateroskleroz rivojlanishiga ta’siri ilmiy adabiyotlar tahlili asosida o‘rganildi. Tadqiqot davomida turli mualliflar tomonidan qo‘llanilgan epidemiologik, klinik va biokimyoviy tadqiqot metodlari tahlil qilindi. Olingan natijalar yosh omili va ovqatlanish odatlari ateroskleroz rivojlanishida muhim determinant ekanligini ko‘rsatadi.
