Metabolik sindrom global epidemiologik yukning asosiy drayverlaridan biri bo‘lib, xolesterin almashinuvining molekulyar darajadagi buzilishlari ushbu sindrom patogenezining markazida turadi. Adabiyotlar sharhi so‘nggi 15 yil ichida e’lon qilingan klinik va eksperimental tadqiqotlarga tayanib, LDL(past zichlikdagi lipoprotein)-parchalanish jarayonlarining sekinlashuvi, HDL(yuqori zichlikdagi lipoprotein)-siklning disfunksiyasi, jigar sitoxrom P450 tizimi faolligining pasayishi, insulin-rezistent to‘qimalarda lipolizning deregulatsiyasi hamda aterogen dislipidemiya shakllanishini yoritadi. Turli mamlakatlarda olib borilgan kohort tadqiqotlar metabolik sindromli bemorlarda ateroskleroz xavfining 2,3–3,1 baravar yuqoriligini ko‘rsatadi (National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2022; uropean Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition – Cardiovascular Disease, 2020). Ushbu maqola metabolik sindrom kontekstida xolesterin homeostazini belgilovchi fermentlar, retseptorlar va transport tizimlari dinamikasini ilmiy asosda tahlil qiladi.
