Abstract

Proverbs reflect the unique worldview, customs, history, philosophy, and lifestyle of a people. Therefore, proverbs hold significant importance in the lexical wealth of a language. This article discusses the semantics of obsolete units found in Uzbek proverbs. The examples analyzed in this study are drawn from the book "Ma’nolar Mahzani" (The Treasury of Meanings), co-authored by Shotursun Shomaqsudov and Shuhrat Shorahmedov.
